Lactic Peel is one of the mildest chemical peels. Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid and breaks and removes protein bridges between horny cells. This causes the Lactic Peel to exfoliate the skin and thin the stratum corneum.
Lactic acid has the property that it helps the skin to maintain its ideal pH value and is therefore less aggressive. A lactic acid peel is suitable for people with very sensitive skin who may not be able to tolerate more intensive peels.
The Lactic Peel stimulates the natural production of collagen, evens the skin tone and reduces the intensity of hyperpigmentation of the skin. In addition, lactic acid has a moisturizing, brightening effect and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
